Time to lower the crib

Here’s how I found Megan the other day ….

I guess it is time for us to lower the mattress.  She is an expert crawler now and has started pulling up on things (obviously!)  The problem is once she gets up, she can’t get down gracefully.  She has a few scratches on her face to prove it.  She had her 6 month check up the other day and is still topping the charts at 95% for height and 88% for weight.  She is almost 19 pounds now.

Kelsey is full swing into potty training.  She is doing very well (mostly because she gets chocolate as a prize) and like all potty trainees wants to go to the bathroom in every store that we visit.  When we ask her if she wants to go to the store she says, “Do they have a potty there?”  She makes us laugh daily with the funny things that come out of her mouth.   The other day we were going to a birthday party and I asked her if I could eat her cake.  She said, “No, I am going to eat all my cake and then you’ll be sad and cry like this…waaa…waaa.”  She also has a good sense of humor and cracks herself up.  She always says, “That’ll be funny” to things that aren’t necessarily considered funny by most people.  She was a big hit at Megan’s doctor appointment in her Mexican dress that she chose to wear.

  1. Hoal! Great pics and blog! I can’t believe Meghan is 19 lbs! Wow! Keegan was 17 lbs at 6 months and has only gained maybe 3 1/2 lbs since then. Thank god it tapers off eventually…can you imagine if it didn’t! Gotta love baby chunk though! Your kids are just too cute! See you guys soon!
